Hi all,

I’m trying to find a safe way of jacking up my 2012 Virage and place the car on axle stands so I can remove the front wheel (to replace the side repeater which is full of condensation).

I’ve seen videos from Aston1936 on jacking up a DB9, however the Virage has skirts which only include two cut out sections for front and rear jacking points. Using a trolley jack obviously means you can’t slide a stand under the car as the jacking point is already in use.

I thought I’d found a nice solution with Jackpoint JackStands, but they need shipping from the US and are showing out of stock.

Surely this can’t be that tricky? What do other people?

Thanks all.

I've done it on my db9.2 by positioning the jack at the extremity of the cut out so I can just get an axle stand in next to it, but it's very tight.

Thanks both - I'll have a look to see if jack pad and stand will fit at the same time - nice idea!

Virage owners day sounds interesting, where can I find out more?

Thanks again.

Aston Martin Virage V8 and V12 Owners Meet on 23rd and 24th June 2023

• Owners of the iconic luxury car will meet at the Rutland Hall Hotel
• Virage drivers encouraged to join what will be an impressive first gathering

A special event celebrating the Virage is being hosted in June 2023. Over the two-day meet, owners of the classic car are encouraged to roll up and park alongside other Virages, adding to what is promising to be an exciting collection of cars already confirmed.

Rutland’s central location is accessible from all parts of the UK and boasts a particularly idyllic landscape - perfect for photo ops. You will also have the opportunity to explore Rutland further, with discounted bike and boat hire and an option to take a boat tour on Rutland Water.

The Rutland Hall and Spa is a luxury country retreat which boasts superb views of the calming Rutland Water. This event is family friendly and the hotel has lodges available for families and pets, so you can be sure that you needs will be accommodated for.

Ray Khan, event organiser, urges drivers to come along: “We’re hoping that this will be the biggest meet of Virages to have happened ever! As owners, we know how special it feels to cut through the streets in one of the best cars ever made, this event is about taking it to the next step and sharing the passion and enthusiasm we have for our cars with each other.

“Whether this is your first car meet, or you’re a seasoned attendee – everyone is welcome. All we ask is that you bring your Virage and get involved.”

If you’re interested in joining the car meet, or need any further information, contact virage.owners@gmail.com
