I am struggling to get comfy on long journeys in my Vantage (2019). has anyone looked at swapping out the seats?

Which seats do you have firstly?

The standard sports seats, sports plus seats or I suppose the carbon backed ones (which the F1 can have)?

Additionally do you have just the standard 8 way or 16 way ones?

I will admit it took time for my position to get "right" probably, 3 months. It is something that has been commented on in reviews.

in both the Vh car and the F1 I find i need a small lumbar cushion to avoid lower back pain. My F type didnt give me the same problem, nor any of the RS audi's Ive owned with both recaro & standard seats. Maybe worth a try (cheaper than $10k for seats)

The secret is always in seat adjustment. Just get your thighs supported and the back pain goes away. Just did the same exercise with my CS and then the Aston. Lower and tilt. It’s a perennial forum topic regardless of brand. There’s always the right setting for you somewhere. Luck of the draw if the manufacturers default works out of the box.

what I was wondering with those newer Vantages, can't you order those bucketseats anymore like in the older Vantages, say like the V12 and or V12 s?

those look so good and seen to be very comfy as well.

I had exactly the same problem finding my old F types far more comfortable . Adjustment I find is the key with the Vantage and for some reason it seemed to take an age to get right

I may be wrong but I thought the optional seats which are in most new V12 Vantage and new V12 Vantage Roadster are now available for the standard models. Whether they are available as a retro fit I’m not sure. Although having said that I dread to think how much AM would charge for a pair! Could be worth asking the question though I guess.

They are not available on the normal versions. The optional carbon backed ones actually first appeared on the F1 l, but are very rarely optioned. From memory they are serious money though hence being rare.

Fair enough Ninja

The first time I saw them was in V12 Speedster and most people specced them in new V12V/V12VR. I’m sure I read somewhere on here that they were available in the lesser models, but maybe it was just F1 Edition as you said. I guess they are the only option available to the OP though, and I would agree with your assessment over their cost. Perhaps it’s worth the call to AM, but it’s probably best to do it sitting down!
wink
