Bonhams is selling an unused, 365km 2010 DBS at the upcoming Goodwood Members' Meeting auction. It's immaculate as you would expect from what is essentially a new car, but LHD and not being a manual will put off a few potential buyers.
However some might suggest that the first owner's unique approach to the colour options may encourage or deter a bid from others.

£40-60k? Surely not. Seems an absolute bargain, that, even with the colours as they are.

I think the colour combo is fine, whilst it wouldnt be my first choice its not bad enough to put me off. LHD however is!

I’m sure im not the only person who wouldnt buy a LHD car to drive in the UK, and that’s going to impact the price significantly, regardless of its otherwise great condition and mileage.

Don't like the colors, but something about the 1st gen DBS is just so stunning. I think they absolutely nailed the design on it!
Still remember seeing the prototype in Casino Royale and being like WTH is that!

Auction houses always quote very low price estimates to generate interest

Did he ever tell us? I always assumed he got it as a freebie, but I dread to think how much Works would have charged a normal punter. There was a thread on here about the subject at the time, but I rarely watch his channel now as I find him somewhat annoying, and I still don’t really understand why AM felt the need to collaborate with him. Back to the thread though, I don’t think it looks too bad really, but as Adam said, LHD in the U.K. is not ideal. It will probably end up in a collection somewhere I guess.

Best Regards

Yeah, they are very odd indeed and neither seem of the quality of a Q finish, nor of any use really. Indeed putting paler leather where your hair and thus hairspray/gel etc... will accumulate seems rather nonsensical.

They aren't even aesthetically pleasing, which is actually making me think that the original headrests had something embroidered at the factory which was extremely personal, and as a result somebody has asked a local trimmer to cover them up with patches of leather in the paler colour as it looks less like a suspicious patch than it would in the same tan colour it sits over. Maybe a subsequent owner, or maybe just done for the purpose of this sale.

For sure there's a story behind this car, not least of which because its LHD in the UK and ultra low mileage.

Certainly odd to buy a new DBS, never use it, then offer a 13 year old LHD car for sale in a RHD market.

There might be some on here, who would expect it to have a fully stamped AMSH. - smile

My money would be on middle eastern market, living it’s life on display in a palace maybe in the UAE, then the owner eventually getting bored of looking at it and sending it back to where it came from, UK, for disposal. I’d guess that maybe those rough patches are covering up some sort of personalised Arabic inscription.

Probably some chap that had a thing for gold and planned to make frequent trips to Europe to take care of his business interests.
