£850 for wireless carplay...
Discussion
RRP is around £3500, but I would bet my bottom dollar you could get it for a grand less than that if you haggle hard... 30% off is achievable if you have a good relationship with your AM dealer, which having just bought a car, you should have for now
So a little over double, but thats peanuts really in the cost of the car. One is OEM and enhances the value of the car, the other isnt and would for some people (me for example) would be a put off.
There's plenty of other goodies too in AMi III not least of which is the rather good opensource maps based Nav. It's so good I really dunno why you'd want any other Nav - other than say Waze for up to date community placement of mobile speed cameras if you'r a frequent traveller on such camp sites.

Looking at their site, it seems they have a solution for some of the older non AMI ii cars too. Whilst my 2015 DB9.2 has Bluetooth audio it can't have factory fitted Android Auto/Apple Carplay. The only other option I'm aware of requires a separate controller which I really don't want. This looks like it would give me what I do want (Google/Waze maps) and keep all the stock controls. The front camera and blind spot monitor look interesting too.
Just need to raid the piggy bank.

So basically its a cheaper upgrade for AMi II cars for owners who want carplay / android owner?
Guess there's going to be a market, but personally I would pay the little bit extra and get the full blown AMi III upgrade done...
Plus you need to rip your car to bits to fit it!!Guess there's going to be a market, but personally I would pay the little bit extra and get the full blown AMi III upgrade done...
I fitted one of their CarPlay systems to MrsCaslad’s 2015 Evoque. Took a morning to do, was very straightforward & works like a charm. However I suspect having the OEM touchscreen avoided some of the potential complexity and even having fitted it I decided discretion was the better part of valour & got Aston Installations to do the DBS!

Looks like one of those Chinese MMI boxes which coat around £200 , is the rest Aston tax ?
I just got one for £100 and put it in my DB9. Took a whole 2 minutes to install and get car play up and running. It also came with a 'free' reversing camera and dashcam, but I've not bothered to fit thoseIt would be easy to hide the power cable behind the ski slope and route it down the 12V socket if so inclined

When I meant Chinese I was talking about Made in China not that it only navigates to Chinese restaurantsIt would be easy to hide the power cable behind the ski slope and route it down the 12V socket if so inclined
I fitted one to my BMW 2 series , worked ok , not as good as an integrated factory system but you could use google maps etc just fine
Has anyone installed one of these DIY to a gen2 vanquish?
