Hi,

The existing windscreen wipers needed changing and we bought some from the local garage. Unfortunately the drivers side one hardly touches and wipes the screen.

Are there any which are recommended?

An old thread on here guided me to Michelin stealth Hybrid , D2P 20” &24” set. On Amazon a couple of years back for < £20. Have worked fine for me (also 2009, v8vr)

Thanks Geresey. I will have a look at those.

Neil, That is such a helpful list and I do appreciate it.

Resurrecting this … thought I’d replace my wiper blades again but just spent half hour on google and can’t find any Michelin Stealth in the right size. Not even on Michelins site, nor specialist wiper blade suppliers, so they appear to have stopped making the larger ones. Or maybe I’m just missing them (some filters don’t work from a phone it seems) Plenty of 20” ones but no 24” ( that I can see anyway…)

If anyone has a valid supplier link or can recommend more up to date alternatives, please do! Thanks

I’m currently using the Bosch Aero and they work perfectly. However, the reason I changed them was because the rain wasn’t wiping away properly, with the lower half of the screen not being touched., which wasn’t due to the blades.

The issue was due to the wiper arm becoming very stiff. I took the arm off and used WD40 on the hinge and kept moving it back and forth. Eventually it loosened up and the range of movement increased massively. I also unhooked the spring and moved it from the centre position to the left position and closed the C shaped ring by about 2mm. The blade now hugs the screen perfectly. If you have the same issue as I did, maybe just try the WD40 first, as the spring tension might be fine and not need adjusting. Hopefully you just need new blades, lol.
