Very interesting use of the AMR brand again..... I thought they had declared that dead when they switched affiliation to F1

This seems a little oddly named, but they have just straight pinched it from the F1 car name as the AMR23.

If they had thought it through more:
1) DBX707 F1 Edition which then follows neatly on from the Vantage F1 edition
2) an AMR edition, which again they also did on the Vantage...

I just posted the AM link in the “eight new sports cars” threads as there were some comments earlier about potential DBX variants based on the F1 team.
Jon and cardigankid, take a bow guys! clap

I’m with Adam. I thought AMR branding was over? Yet again it’s all so confusing where the marketing team are heading. I did see something from LS earlier this week (Facebook I think it was) suggesting the AM F1 team has directly generated $80 Mio worth of road car sales for AML, so maybe they are hoping for more of the same with DBX that they achieved with Vantage F1 Edition. But I agree with Ninja. Brand this one as F1 and there is some semblance of a continuation link, and then go AMR.

Who knows, but imho this car looks horrid. Tacky and garish. But apparently that’s what sells nowadays. Why anyone would buy this over a regular DBX707 is beyond me.

Best Regards

Minglar

Thank you Mingler.

Perhaps the marketing teams confusion is on purpose, creating a subtle link to their description, 'elevates the attention levels.' - smile

It’s “just” a standard DBX 707 with different interior/exterior accents, stitching, brake caliper colour and plaques.

No changes to performance or any tweaks.

Which I’m glad tbh, only had my 707 6 months and it would be very annoying to have a “better” version out already.

Can’t blame them for cashing in on the F1 medical car but naming it after the actual F1 car is alittle confusing. I don’t believe this means the AMR brand is back.

Funnily enough I thought of you (ooo er) when I saw the email this morning having read in this forum that you recently bought a 707. Glad it’s just a cosmetic job, otherwise it really would be ‘How to ps off your customer base 101’ (for DBX sales at least, I’m sure all the recent DBS and DB11 buyers are ‘delighted’ about the model changes that are inbound).

That is good news.
AML state their average selling price is at present around £200,000, although that of course is inflated by recent Valkyrie deliveries.
Taking $80m as £65m, we look forward to seeing the sales figures increasing by an extra 325 vehicles.

Expect the information was discovered by AML Marketing asking every new customer,
"How did you learn out about Aston Martin?"
Please select one of the following answers;

A). James Bond Film.
B). I watched a F1 Grand Prix on television and saw two green cars.
C). Pistonheads.
D). I watched a F1 Grand Prix on television and saw two green cars.
E). My grandpa bought an Aston Martin, when he was old enough to afford one.
F). I watched a F1 Grand Prix on television and saw two green cars.
G). My great grandpa was mechanic to Count Louis Zebrowski.
H). I watched a F1 Grand Prix on television and saw two green cars.
I). One of my neighbours owns a Vantage and I adore the glorious sound. *
J). I watched a F1 Grand Prix on television and saw two green cars.

  • So sorry, all our new models are now muffled, because they are fitted with turbochargers, extra cats. and particulate filters, but we can supply you with a recording of how our cars used to sound.

I looked outside and saw two green Astons on the drive.

Oh wait, no I didn’t because the DBX is back with the dealer again! 4th time in 6 months. Ultra luxury… for the service centre blokes to work upon. Smh
