These questions refer to VH era cars.
Did you know, a V8V can accelerate from standstill to 160 mph in 34 seconds?
However, be patient if you want to continue on to 180 mph, because that requires a further 1min 13 secs.
Presumably air resistance becoming stronger.
Did you know, if you reach the rev limiter in 2nd gear, you are exceeding the 70 mph speed limit.
You still have another four gears to try though.

Not stuff to be highlighting, it just shows how slow the V8V really is.. However, be patient if you want to continue on to 180 mph, because that requires a further 1min 13 secs.
I love Astons, but supercars they are not. Drive any McLaren to know what quick really is. Like comparing the flying Scotsman with the TGV
McLaren 720S:
0 - 160 mph 11.7 s
0 - 180 mph 17.5 s

Are you serious? 0 to 100 mph in 9 seconds is not in any way slow. I can’t really understand any scenario you’d need more performance other than as a pro race driver. Koenigsegg Gemera (auto. 1 speed):
0 - 160 mph 9.8 s
0 - 180 moh 12.0 s
0 - 200 mph 14.6 s
Top speed 273 mph
Redline 8,500 rpm:
Total power 1,700 hp
Top trumps in action now.
If we keep playing this game, the EV evangelists will be coming in with their ace cards, although this model Koenigsegg does have electric hybrid power.
No, an Aston Martin offers more than adequate performance, but in addition, much specialness.
EDIT
To save the EV enthusiasts bothering, here are figures for the Lucid Air;
0 - 160 mph 10.9 s
0 - 180 moh 14.1 s
0 - 200 mph 17.8 s
Koenigsegg IC hybrid still ahead.
More than 3 seconds quicker to 200 mph.

Ha, I thought that might create a reaction. The stats on the hypercars I think just illustrate how quick and what good value the Mclaren is, it is only a second or two slower to 160 than the hyper-exotica mentioned, it’s 100% British designed and engined and can be bought used for the price of a new Vantage. What’s more, earlier cars can be had for as little as half the cost of a 720s without being much slower.
I’ve always been a performance junkie and would absolutely love a McLaren, but would never give up my AM, they are, as stated above, something quite different, and quite quick enough for us mere mortals 99% of the time.
I think it’s great that here in little old England we make everything from genuine Ferrari beating supercars to uber luxury Bentleys and Rollers with AM traditionally offering products perfectly straddling the two extremes, a perfect blend of sports, prestige and luxury. Fantastic, even ignoring the myriad others marques in the little island filling every other motoring niche from Jag downward.
What other country gets close?
I’m currently in France and all they seem to make and drive are identikit badly styled c*** boxes. The culture couldn’t be more different.

As you know, the majority of cars on the Formula One grid are also British made.
McLaren produce some brilliantly engineered road cars, but their business figures are poor.
Their monthly UK new registrations have been dreadful for some time, so hopefully they export enough cars.
Sold and leased back their factory. Sold and borrowed back their historic car collection. Not good signs.
For any of you, who do not know about the Koenigsegg Gemera, here is a video.
It appears to be more powerful and faster than a Valkyrie, with possibly a lower list price.
Oh well, perhaps Aston Martin will introduce a Valkyrie 1707 hybrid model.
One interesting fact about Koenigsegg, is that almost all components for their cars are designed and manufactured in-house.
