Tracker for a 2015 Rapide S
Discussion
I would expect there to be a factory tracker already on your car.
Not sure which system it would be.
You will probably need to sign up for an annual subscription, to activate the monitoring.
Not an alternative, but a very low-cost tracker is available from Samsung and Apple.
Think only about £25.
It is the sort of thing you buy after losing your wallet, wishing you acted earlier. -

You can see on a tablet or phone, where the tag is and where it has been.
It works by recording its location, at the time of picking up a signal from another (same make) device.
Can hide it anywhere, car, wallet etc., then forget it. I think the battery is said to last a year or so.
Slip one in your wife's handbag, then when she finds that you have a cup of tea ready for her, as she arrives home, there might be some puzzled looks. -

Yes I suspect there is one already on it but can't see who I would need to speak with to get it activated . Good shout on the Apple AirTag I have a few spare
My 2015 V8V uses a Vodafone CobraTrak tracker. I assume you didn’t get any fobs with the car? If you bought it through a main dealer they should be able to help; if not try Vodafone Automotive and see what it would take for them to identify the system, confirm it’s active and supply you with new fobs. The Vodafone system is not cheap, but they can do all sorts of tricks, like immobilising the car if requested to by LEO. They’ll call you if you forget your fob and drive the car away from your house. What they won’t do is help you find it in a car park

Honestly,
this is a technical solution which is 10 years old and can easily bypassed by a gsm jammer costing as much as 200€.
Ask at your AM dealership how many of their customers have it activated. At mine there are two only.
Second, this service for AM is three times the cost as the same service for a Fiat. Exactly the same service!
I use an Airtag, but of cause I'm aware that this is also a technology which can be bypassed easily as can basically all radio transmitting devices.
Cheers,
Axel

I doubt this. Not going to ask you to prove it on here for obvious reasons, but I suspect that on the AML OEM system using a GSM jammer would have the opposite effect to that intended. The system is a Thatcham Cat 6 and exceeds the required specs to pass the Thatcham Cat 6 approval. The most important part of the Cobratrak plus system is the anti jamming GSM and anti jamming GPS which many other cheaper tracking systems on the market don't have.

Yeah, you're right, it sends an alarm when it's jammed. However, there are always ways when a device is using radio transmission, that's all I wanted to say. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a thief, but was involved in some GSM stuff in the past. I'd like to know how the cobratrak is reacting when it's constantly jammed over an over again for example. Or setup your own GSM base station (easier than you thing) and catch the signal. Or or or...The system is a Thatcham Cat 6 and exceeds the required specs to pass the Thatcham Cat 6 approval. The architecture is ten years old...means: much time for others to test the weak points...

You clearly have more expertise than I, but don't forget that the AML CobraTrak system is not just tracking the fob; it's tracking whether the fob is in the car, and if the car is at its registered home. If those aren't found an alert is triggered. So jam either signal and you have an alert - don't ask me how I know The architecture is ten years old...means: much time for others to test the weak points...
