Vantage v12s question

Ohh - Congrats! You won't regret it! What colour / spec?
The only thing that springs to mind is ensuring that the AMi III is flashed up to the best final version as detailed in my AMi III thread....
The firmware combo you want is: 3.1.10/1.107
Don't let them install the actual final version after that one - it is very unstable.

Congratulations, great buy! At 6k miles nothing really, I’m 50k miles further in that your now, lots of big European road trips etc.
If nearer 30k miles you might want to check clutch throughly or CCBs but the brakes in principle should be for “life time” of the car which in AM speak is 80-100k miles for the disks, pads more like 2-3 times in that period. My car has first clutch still and shows no signs of age yet. I have just always warmed car and never ride it at junctions etc but hasn’t caused me any issues but you read of them being changed at the 20-50k mark.
Service history / the annual maintenance is pretty essential regardless of miles use. And a healthy battery.
Mine has been really robust which continues to impress me.
I hope you use it and enjoy it and add to the 6k miles !

Just taken the plunge on a manual 2017 car ,will be a week before I can collect so are there any notorious issues to look out for that I can address whilst the dealer is prepping the car ?
Congrats! These are simply amazing cars.Sportshift or manual?
If buying from a MD, you can have confidence in the Timeless warranty, if my experience is anything to go by. Nothing serious, but any issues get sorted promptly and without question, often pro-actively.
Many congrats - an epic car which I'm enjoying more and more each week of ownership. Give the gearbox 400-500 miles of use to fully appreciate it and ignore the naysayers
Mine needed a new air conditioning condenser unit (this on a very well maintained and immaculate car of 4k miles only) so this may be one thing you want to check both via sight and also on how cold the A/C is inside the car.
If it doesn't have it, also consider the AM OEM Titanium exhaust

I found the gap between the gears harder than the backwards pattern ,I was going 1 to 4 rather than 1 to two for example more so when changing down for example 3 to 2 would end up 3 to 1 but I will get use to it .

I'd be checking for corrosion, especially on the doors, i'd looked at 2 or 3 that had all had some sort of paintwork done.franki68 said:

Just keep driving it, and don't overthink it- either the layout or the spacing. You do get used to it very quickly and it becomes second nature and silky smooth. I never miss a gear ever, but it is the only manual car I drive, so I guess if you drive other manuals too then the switch back and forth could mean you have to transition your brain every time.AdamV12V said:

other cars are auto/pdk ,this was the first manual I have driven in 8 years (since I sold my dbs in fact) so I will adapt .franki68 said:
