That looks too good to be true but I bet he tried to sell it to a few dealers and they offered him really crap prices for it so he decided to try to sell it himself for a bit more. That's the only thing I can think of. I'd pay that for it if I had the money.

I'm sure a red one sold on CC for less than that a year or two ago. I can find a link for one at £406k, but I'm sure there was a cheaper one.

I saw one at AM Bristol a couple of weeks ago - £550k. It would have been the star of the show if it hadn’t been parked next to a red Valkyrie…

This looks suspiciously like the one that was ‘ordered’ by a guy who then put it immediately back up for sale at the supplying dealer as it was the way he got on the Valkyrie list way back when (at least that is what i was told) …but, with one owner who knows…. How many black ones can there be?

The tacky gold, as you put it, was the VERY expensive optional ‘Villa d’Este’ package! Allegedly a £20,000 option at the time.

Truth is, close up it looks very nice indeed...

But in this case, I don't think I would have mixed it with red brakes and interior stitching. I think its the 3 way combo that's a little OTT. Perhaps the owner was thinking it was a Lotus wink

I wonder when the first 'pre-owned' Valkyrie will appear for sale.

Apparently, the interior noise is so loud, that possibly the excitement for some might fade.

When i went to the factory to see the build, (and saw the famous pink one being built in front of mine) it looked like the majority of the ones in build at that time (prob 6-8) had gone with the satin gold. I specced without and always laughed as when i saw it mid build it had no gold outside but gold internally - which i couldn't live with (reminded me of trips to certain parts of the world where flashing gold is de rigour), the other way round and I might have kept quiet…..

The spec on this looks ok - ie the interior is not cream which i have seen on a few and personally don’t like.

Buy at about £670,000.

Drive 23 miles.

Sell at £300,000.

Ponder.

If its been serviced annually and insured - prob not far off another 20k dropped. If on finance, the picture just keeps getting worse :-0

Feels like a DDD sale?

Feels like a DDD sale?

Imagine the thrill, at the time of being accepted for purchase.

Perhaps the plan was, buy for about £670,000,

Drive 23 miles,

then sell for £1,000,000.

Oh well, cannot always win.

If the sale curcumstances might have involved serious illness, then my apologies.
We speculate here, but only on the clues made public.

It is a bargain. They have been hovering at just over £400k for some time. The one in Bristol remains highly optimistic, but its unique spec may temp somebody.

Add £7,200 buyers fee.

It’s also a VAT qualifying car. Does that mean there’s also 20% on top or 20% VAT may be claimed off the winning bid if you’re VAT registered (and for some very creative reason you can justify a Zag Shooting Brake to the HMRC is you’re not Sssssccchmeeeeee wink ?)

Must admit, I do love these in red or BRG.

The gold works for his model too.

The glass panoramic roof is literally the topping on the delicious cake.

I feel for the seller, bitter pill but if you have to sell in the current market then i guess you have to take what someone is prepared to pay.
