Heading to Netherlands on the ferry tonight in my V12 Vantage 2013 and I will need to lock the car with the motion sensor off (if it has one) - does anyone know how to do this please?

In the Menu, under Car Settings, you can reduce the Alarm Guard for one time...

Thanks I’ll take a look. I hadn’t thought of this until the ferry people mentioned it in their email this morning and of course the manual for the car is in the filing cabinet at work!

Owners Manual said:
Reduced guard is set by using the car settings menu. Press MENU (A).
Navigate to <Car settings...> Enter <Reduced guard...>. Select
<Activate once> or <Ask on exit> and press ENTER to toggle
between ON and OFF. Then press and hold BACK to accept and
return to the main screen.

Good to hear you can do this. It was a bit disconcerting hearing loads of car alarms going off as we left Poole on a ferry this summer…. Like most I had just locked mine as usual. You can’t get back on the car deck so I spent the whole trip wondering if mine was one of them and the battery would be flat when we got to France… luckily it was ok, but on the way back I just left it unlocked… if anyone wanted week old gear after Le Mans they were welcome to it smile

Worked a treat, thanks guys. Heading to Louwman museum in Netherlands this morning and then on down into Germany later.

I never lock mine on the ferries.
I'm always last off (and first back on) the car deck as I'm paranoid about other travellers with bags etc scratching the car.
I stand next to it like an old mother hen warding others off nerdnerdnerd

Enjoy the best and worst roads (condition and fun) in Europe. Get out to Belgium or Germany if you want to unleash the V12 smile
