Hey guys, I want to swap my dash tweeters and rear subwoofer in my DB11 Velonte. Any ideas where I can find details on how to do that?

Subwoofer is between the rear seats and needs the cover taking off.

The tweeter could be far more challenging as it screws in from behind and I am not sure if the dash skelton behind it will give you access to the screws on both sides.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I can have a look. Do you happen to know if the parts of the dash covering the tweeters are clipped in and just pry off using a prying tool (eg pry upwards towards the windscreen)?

There was a chap on YouTube that bought a crashed DB11 and rebuilt it. One of his challenges was to replace the top of the dash as the passenger airbag had triggered and, if I recall correctly, he carefully and meticulously tried to take the dash apart in the car, but in the end, despite having removed a huge number of parts and fasteners, he had to follow the official Aston repair process of taking the complete dash out of the car.

What I can't recall is if he removed the tweeters as part of his attempt to get the dash top off. It might be worth watching his strip-down videos for a clue - he documented the process pretty well. If you've not seen it then someone else might remember his name.

Ah, I was wrong. It was a Vantage and the guy was Mat Armstrong. Mind you the dash structure is essentially the same as I think he fitted a dash top from a DB11 to complete his repair. So, not an exact match but still may be worth a watch for clues.

That’s amazing thank you. I watched mats video and now I’m scared off. Didn’t realise it would be that difficult.
