Morning all, does anybody know if there is a time limit to the extended warranty AM provides (10, 15 or 20 years) or can you simply renew each year (subject to the 140 point test)?

Thanks in advance,

I believe it is 10 years for private owner and 15 for dealer in Australia. Happy to be corrected if I’ve got that wrong

Beyond 10 years is not as extensive coverage.

So if you buy a Timeless car with over 10 years, the guarantee does not cover as much?

Premium (as in the better level of cover) is now up to 20 years and covers claims up to the invoice price of the car, beyond that is is classic which is over 20 and covers less and has limits per claim of £10k.

Looks like it might vary by region. In the US, Timeless certified (extended warranty) cars have to be less than 10 years old.

When I got mine in UK the cut off for Premium warranty was 10 years.

Previous poster has mentioned now 20, although website still says 10 years.

For the UK, I suspect this is because it is more profitable for the premium standard, my contract from last year also specifies the 20 year element.

The reason for country to country change will be down to the underwriting compay changes from country to country. For the UK it is Car Care Plan.

You can also benefit sometimes in the UK cheekily asking for your renewal prior to April increases even if your renewal is post that period.

Thanks a lot. I think you are totally correct and it does vary country to country. Will have to contact my dealer directly for this one (in Luxembourg).

Best,
