Vantage Door Mirror Glass Removal

Hi - can anyone advise me how to remove the door mirror glass from my 09 V8 Vantage - that's the glass only not the whole mirror or the back body-coloured casing. I've found some info that makes it seem like it just unclips once you can get some leverage behind it but I've had no luck at all trying. If someone has the knack could you please share it as it's seriously doing my head in?! 🤬

I was told that the mirror of the early Vantage were borrowed from the Volvo S60 so here is a Volvo S60 Mirror removal instruction
