I'm going to buy this aston martin vantage v8
Discussion
Good morning
I would like to leave Italy for Brussels to buy this aston. The dealership is aston martin I should be sure to buy a car that will not have problems in the short term.
I think going alone without a mechanic would be too high an expense and I would go over budget
I want to believe that after all my questions there are no hidden flaws or the car has any unexpected surprises.
I ask you what I need to check in particular.
Arms, frame, shock absorbers, discs and pads, everything I can see from the outside.
Anything else?
I can see the engine and hear it turning, the clutch has never been changed, it's a manual... I don't know how much we need to intervene to.
I know the Sportshift 1 is very delicate
What else do I forget that you know?
Thanks for the advice.
This is report aston martin Brussels.
I have a quote of 600/900 € for indoors and about 1300 € for outdoors.

Don't look for it, let no one intervene in the purchase, other than your knowledge or a professional's work for you,
Knowing what is going to happen inside an engine is being a fortune teller, the same thing always happens when you go to buy, whatever it is, let someone be the messenger, so nothing, make up your mind... that's why I said in another post, that you started, because I can see beyond, and see when a beginner wants to go to unknown places.
Good luck, there is a lot of information in the forums, but dude DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, HIRE A SERVICE FOR APPROX. 1000EUR, and they will go to the place where they sell it, they will test it, please don't ask anyone from the forum to be your eyes
Good luck
See you on the road
p.s. I'm only going to tell you one thing about all the photos you've posted of the interior, if they haven't put it on it's that the seat belt has been replaced, without any scratches, because with 95,000 km it has to have them and plenty of them and another thing with those kilometers, I don't give a cent for the clutch, prepare 5000 euros AT LEAST, I would negotiate the purchase ONLY WITH THE CLUTCH CHANGED from double lightened plate
YOU ARE WARNED, but please don't play at being a fortune teller and don't bother the forum with us trying to be one for you,
as I said
are you sure? yes or no.....choose but choose well.....

I was surprised to see a car with that (appearance) condition (interior mainly), being sold by a main dealer.
Fairly rare to see any pre-2015 Vantage cars in UK main dealers any more.
EDIT
I know this car is RHD so not for you, but of similar age and it has retained its beautiful interior condition.
Perhaps you need one that has had a pampered life in California.

For a 2007 Vantage.
Check rear subframe for rust / corrosion, it’s the only steel part of the chassis.
Check wing-mirror mounts for paint coming off / flaking.
Check overall quality of exterior and paint, look especially carefully for paint corrosion anywhere water might sit or get trapped so around door handles, fuel filler cap, joins with seals, in the water channels of the boot, or where there are inserts eg vents on front wing.
Check usual places for crumple zones, new mismatched paint or any signs of accident damage.
Often you can arrange an independent marque specialist to inspect and write a report for you. At least you can in U.K. not sure about in Belgium.
Oh and if you want the paint to be pristine on the car, with all those scratches / stone chips, expect it to cost you 15k euro to have the full car repainted before the cost of then having PPf after.

Friend, I don't disturb anyone. I have clear ideas. I'm from lotus, lamborghini, Mercedes , Porsche. Now I'm moving on to Aston Martin. No one wants you to be my fortune teller. I know what I buy and this is a game compared to what I buy or sell with my work. I am an entrepreneur and lawyer and I know how to do business in this field. On the other hand, I also rely on the opinions of those who have been in the Aston Martin world since before me. Greetings Don't look for it, let no one intervene in the purchase, other than your knowledge or a professional's work for you,
