So, traction on the standard (badly worn) pzeros is pretty shocking, ive never found pzeros that good anyway..

So, anyone tried any alternatives for better traction?

I recently changed from Cup2s on my AMGGTR to continental contact 7s and have found them pretty comparable to the cup2s in straight line traction but obviously way better in the wet and they look to be lasting well, i dont do track days anymore so it was a good comparison for road use.

So thinking maybe try the conti 7s on the dbss but then Yokohamas ad09 track tyre gets some favourable wet weather reports and they do them in 305/30/21s for the aston, so maybe these?

Any thoughts from other owners? Improving rear traction seems to be the cars only weal point so far, so would be a great difference to make..

A lot of members, myself included went for the PS4S Michelins, I think there is possibly a newer version now? Anyway it was night and day on my Vantage and DBS, I'd be hard pressed to choose another tyre over it.

I’d be interested in this - just got a DBS V and when it comes to replacing tyres I was just going to go for PS4 (or the newer PS5 if suitable sizes are available?). My previous experience of Michelins is very positive.

The new Aston range use versions of the PS5

Continental 7s are a step ahead of PS4S in tyre tests.

Trouble is, the contis aren't available in the standard size for the dbss frown

You can get MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4s in 355/25R21 though… which gives identical rolling diameter..

I have that size on the Aventador but i think the rims are wider, anyone know the rim width on the dbss? body clearance could be an issue though hehe 5dm increase (2.5cm each side) is quite a jump..

Eta: not a chance as the wheels are 11.5J

Just to revive this thread a little....

The AM specific PSS5 tyres from the DB12 are wider than those on the DBS, but with the same rim size, albeit with different offsets.

Has anyone tried fitting them to a DBS Superlegerra wheel yet..?

Random question - what does Superleggera mean in the tree of specification and how many Aston models have it?

I think its translation is super light, but it's also the name of the design house that designed the DB5 - Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.

Actually the PS4 and PS5 range are a step down from the PS4S and PSS5.

I believe the 2 ranges are classed as Ultra High Performance and Ultra Ultra High Performance.

This is a good place for info…

As Paul says.....
The Superleggera tag is a nod back to the Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera design house who used i believe tubular alloy to make the lightweight chassis for the DB4, DB5 andDB6.
