After 19 years of love with elise s1 of 1999. I wanted a car that I had been dreaming of for about 12 years, I managed to get this beautiful specimen. The owner is a perfectionist, after the sale he keeps calling me to know if I am paying attention to humidity, oil, filters... Etc. As if I were a child 😂 I drove 100 km on the highway. Little in the city. It's nice to buy a car with your work and after so much waiting. I never thought this moment could come. Then many things "fit together" everything goes well and you have to have the courage to take the step. I had it. I am a person who feels inside himself when it is time to do business. I have a good nose. The truth is that I work but I have certainly applied this thought. Make good choices, surround yourself with the right people, and work hard. More photos later. Now I enjoy. Thank you ladies and gentlemen. 🙏

It is indeed a curious thing. That era Vantage still looks just as beautiful, modern, sharp, clean, fresh and gorgeous as it did when it was launched - now nearly twenty years ago. It's an absolute design classic and you won't ever be able to stop just looking at it.

Congratulations and welcome to the club.

Congratulations Buzzi. Looks great, really shiny.

As you say, difficult to believe, but even more than nearly twenty years old now.

Congratulations Buzzi. Such a timeless piece of design, one of the all time greats. Enjoy the fruits of your labour and I am sure the previous owner is glad it has gone to a good home

Thanks guys. Thank you all.

I had been reading this community since 2015. I had already read many posts then. Now I'm looking for all the posts beyond the FAQ where I can learn.

I downloaded the manual on a site but for example there are no precise indications on the operation of all the buttons of the Vantage.
Now I try to download from the link in the FAQ.
TODAY

I update interior lights to led - although the interior yellow color seems warmer and more elegant to me. I'll do tests)

Study the buttons and functions of all the buttons on the dashboard.

SmIf I have time, I change the rear lights by putting white lights.

On Monday, nanotechnological treatment.

I'm having a new canopy built in my house. But I have to wait until February. Do you have your Astons in the garage or outdoors.?
I was used to the Lotus elise... Condensation entered and destroyed interiors

Congrats. Have you driven it back from Spain yourself? Was the trip smooth?

Don’t change the lights, keep it factory original.

Well, your new car is getting on for 20yrs old and probably does not look the way it does from being left outside, so if you want it to continue looking that way you really do need to keep it inside, or at least undercover, protected from the elements (esp UV), bird droppings, tree sap etc.

Aged seals are naturally less supple, compliant and, well, 'seally' as time passes there will be much higher chance of water getting into the cab. The tell tale initial sign is condensation forming on inside of glass when the car stands. You'll also find that the rear lenses can draw in water, it's a design integration fault (water is funnelled on to the rear light assemblies by the body) but there are fixes if water gets in. If your current red lenses are good/dry, maybe be a little wary about replacing them with second hand clear units. Many will have leak issues...

The majority of us here will also recommend treating yourself to a decent (eg CTek 5A) battery conditioner as a christmas present.

I'm trying to get the great book user manual in Italian. Mine is Spanish. I have downloaded aston martin applications but I have to be enabled by aston seller. Isn't there something around? A link? The FAQ is too old.
