DB11 - Anyone painted front splitter?
Discussion
Hi, as the very happy owner of a DB11 I remain delighted with it in all departments. One small curiosity remains for me - the nose of the car appears higher than the DB12 - I think because the former has a black lower front splitter and the latter uses mostly all body colour. That lowers the front visually (I know they are different in other respects including size of air intakes etc).
Has anyone painted their DB11 black front lower splitter body coloured? Would be intrigued to see a pic. Might not work at all and I'd generally be the last person to second guess an Aston Martin stylist. But it would be a reversible change should I ever decide to do it.

Just bumping my own thread (the need for which probably largely answers my question!).
Anyone body coloured their lower front splitter? Every time I look at the car I think it would look better body coloured and visually lower the whole front nose of the car.
Obviously a black car gives some idea but as they also hide the black side skirts and are dark generally, it doesn't really give a good idea what a different colour would look like. My car is volcano red for info.
As a related aside - is the front splitter hard to remove?

I have a DB11 but satisfied with the looks of the front end. Painting the splitter, in my opinion, especially if it didn't work, and trying to get it back to original would be a lot of work and cost.
Without knowing the body color of your car, you might consider getting the splitter wrapped if you can find a match. If it does not look good or you tire of it, the wrap is easily removed.
Just a suggestion
EDIT - Just saw your post about the color red.

Thanks guys
Juan, just the splitter itself (first pic). The area between the number plate and splitter is actually a black grill and is both functional and aesthetically good. Any other angles available?
Skhannes - would certainly prefer to wrap but very much doubt I'd get a colour match. Could certainly ask and see. As you say, easily reversible. However as the splitter is gloss black I wouldn't expect it to be hard to restore to original.
