Hello all, i own this car since 2016, since 30 years i only use Pirelli, but with my rapide i can do 2500miles with the rear tires P0, not 1 more mile, this happenned 8 times or more, i am looking for tires who allow me more mileage, in compare the front tires are not used at all, i can keep them 50k kms....i hate Michelin, i am wandering which tire brand fits the rapide, any advices, thank you

Yes, I saw that the sticker below the side vents says AM Kronberg. That
was also the garage that handled the Euro press fleet some time ago and
a prime Agent in Europe. Now part of the Emil Frey Group but with some
historically very well AML-connected staff.

Nurburgring stamp, wow! I would not be surprised to find that your car
was handpicked from production as a perfect specimen for show duties,
you need to look at that, it may be an AML car handled in Europe by
Kronberg.

That is quite an addition to the history of the car, if it checks out.

I just amended my post, read through! You may have an AML car.
Examples that help bring in the money to AML are always looked at as
treasures; whether an older model or a Rapide. There is a fondness about
it, not found elsewhere.

That'll look stunning on Onyx Black.

Pierre, if your car is indeed the 'Ring car, you can be sure that it was
specially inspected and prepared @ the factory. I'd also consider the
engine well run-in at its maxima and minima, that will enhance longevity
when compared to city cars. Your car is probably smoother as well,
particularly during gear changes. The real-world economy figures you
mention may be a sign of all these combined factors.

Which sizes are you currently using?
245/40 ZR 20 95; 295/35 ZR 20 105?
As far as I know the otherwise popular Continental SportContact 7 and the Pirelli P Zero PZ4 are not available in these sizes.
Therefore a highly ranked tyre is the Bridgestone Potenza Sport.
https://eprel.ec.europa.eu/screen/product/tyres/42...
BRIDGESTONE tyre 21552 in 245/40 ZR20
https://eprel.ec.europa.eu/screen/product/tyres/42...
BRIDGESTONE tyre 21567 in 295/35 ZR20
These Bridgestone tyres are a very new product, much improved compared to tyres from the 2013 generation, and competing highly ranked in independent tyre tests.
Another option would be the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S, which is a relatively old construction and probably not your favorite choice.

Thansk Nbgring,
when i bought it i had the bridgestone potenza if i remember well,
i run some pirelli pzero always, i changed 8 times and can do 4000 kms with them, but they are so good tires. i didnt heard of pz4...anyway
295 35 ZR20 105Y.
michelin has always been such a big no no for me that i could not beleive the sport one is that good, i fell like its maybe their only good tire and i wont jump and buy the story....love the gum from pirelli. Will go with the potenza then. Thank you!

I contacted pirelli in Italy, no response, i contacted them in spain, no response except some no reply email ads i received from them now, when corporates become too big, they leave a window open to my curiosity for other brands. don't loose your time emailing to pirelli.

The Pirelli P Zero PZ4 is an older version of the P Zero tyre, now replaced by the PZ5. It would appear the PZ4 isn't now a particularly good tyre (54th out of 83).
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Pirelli/P-Zero-PZ...

The PZ4 version is now about 9 years old, so it was comparable with the AML Bridgestone Potenza variants which virtually everyone now regards as obsolete. 9 years is a long time in tyre technology evolution.

The new PZ5 appears to get good reviews
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre/Pirelli/P-Zero-PZ...
(I didn't check if you can get them in DB9 Rapide sizes)

Tyres marked A6A and A6B are both Aston Martin tyres, but I couldn't find any information on the differences, or which models they were intended for. However, both are apparently based on the now-obsolete, 9-year-old PZ4 tyre technology, so draw your own conclusions.

https://www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-gb/car/catalogue/...
(ignore the fact that it's a 21" - I chose it just as an example as it shows the base tyre model, and both A6A and A6B were available in the same size and rating - go figure)

Model fixed - whoopsdrunk

Have you had tracking or GEO checked and if so by who?

I generally have my rear wheels adjusted to have less toe in - so pointing forward or straight. Generally most road cars have rear wheels setup to toe in to help stability. This means tyres are constantly pointing towards each other not straight. This makes them wear through tyres quicker. I had a friend who burnt through a brand new set of rear tyres in around 8 weeks. Turned out his rear wheels had very excessive toe in.

LTP thanks a lot i just found your post yes i found the A6a and a6b, i think i will go with these as they are supposed to be more mileage. i will look the review though, thanks a lot and if i am disapointed i will try the new bridgestone potenza they ve been updated too.

yes you have to eat spaghetti to understand the infos about the tyre, cause if you contcat them lucky you are iof they ever respond, too bad when ordering from pirelli site you need to pay and choose a garage to mount them. as they are a bit far and the a6b is only foundable there....not in other places, will see

i didnt knew the pz4 had already so many years never heard before, as i chnaged my tire in a small garage here and i think they watch out ordering same tire each time so i am with the classic p zero, from 2020 and 2021.

thank you all guys i have never done so much for the car since 9 years i have it, stillwait a rendez vous to lift it and get the damn air filter out i cant get to the 7th screw what ever i do.
