Rapide S to DBS SL or Roma
Discussion
After a good 3 years with the Rapide S, it's time for a change...
I'm looking at the DBS Superleggera and the Ferrari Roma as replacement.
Has someone experience of both cars and can summarise the virtues and negatives of both?
Aston history wise, I've owned the previous DBS, then the db11 V 12 and now the Rapide S.
Ferrari wise I've owned a 612 oto and the FF.
I don't really require the rear seats, but looking for something useable almost as a daily if needed, but in reality will only be used occasionally.
I'm always veered towards GT Cars of this ilk rather than more focused sports cars ala Vantage, 488, 720setc. maybe I should explore?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Roma over a DBS SL never!
Yeah, weird post, Roma isnt even close!Drive both op, you ll soon be chuckling to yourself as to the question

I drove a roma as a replacement option to an AMG GTC and it wasnt even better than that

On the engine alone.. as a gt car the v12 in the SL is just unbeatable, progress in it on a trip is effortless due to torque
SL 660lb ft 1800rpm>
vs
Roma 540lb ft 3000rpm>
Then there s the looks, subjective I know but the Romas looks are not liked by the majority including, myself, whereas the DBS is very well regarded
You re driving a top of the range Aston vs bottom of the range Ferrari, means nothing in isolation but on Longvterm ownership it might do to you?
Interior the Roma has the Aston licked imo but I love the Aston s interior personally (I m quite alone in this opinion mind)
Handling and stopping in the Aston is very surprising, much more capable than I thought it would be for such a good GT car, easily keeps pace on rally s with supercars due to its torque, I have 3 very capable supercars and wouldn t want to have to lose the DBS on a public road tbh, it d eat my Testarossa but you d probably expect that, even at circa 1700kg
