Got to drive Henry Cathpole’s route in my N430 yesterday, epic.

Will be doing it in my N430 in 5 weeks as well. Love Henry Catchpoles video of it, one of my faves along with Clarksons end of the V12 with next to no narration as he charged through the (Welsh?) countryside.

I can't afford an Astron Martin but what a road. Maybe one day I'll get one.

I did in my V8V last September, en-route to Inverness, to start the NC500. I did it purely on the strength of Henry Catchpole’s epic YouTube video.

For anyone south of the border, doing the NC500 anti-clockwise, it’s a worthwhile alternative to the quick route to Inverness and great taster of what’s to come

Nice videos to give a flavour - and your wife learnt to hold the camera steady after her comment in the third one down.

I was surprised at how much of a switchback the road was in places.

Thanks, yes the third one was her first attempt she was holding on to the sun visor in the others!

You’ll love it. I’ve had to drive some of roads a few times. To be honest quite a number of roads around where we are are almost as good and have some great visibility so you can make good progress.

Shhh!! Dont tell people about the OMR! Let everyone go to the NC500 thinking that that is the best driving road in Scotland! Lets keep this a secret.

This thread was perfectly timed for me - thank you. We were staying not a million miles away from Cairn Gorm, and after a mega walk the day prior, a sunny June run out in a loop was great fun in my V12V.

Probably the best sustained driving road I've been on in the UK. Even the 40mph Honda Jazz drivers politely pulled in - creating several hours of driving joy.

Wonderful picture. I miss my V12V when I see that picture in that fantastic setting.

Absolutely fantastic road. Im lucky enough to live quite close to the half way point. The whole run from Blairgowrie to Braemar then up and over to Tomintoul is brilliant. No longer own the 540C unfortunately

Excellent! Glad you managed to find the time to drive it. I have to agree it’s an awesome road, I managed a good section of it one evening (the first video taster) then a drive up to Balmoral and return. There are so many roads up there in Scotland that give you an opportunity to make good progress and have some real driving fun.

Great shots, and how lucky are you when the weather permits of course!
