Via another thread in a different area this Vantage popped up, now ignoring the car in general (which I think looks quite nice for a monochrome car wink) has anyone ever seen the cases in the last photos?

I quite like them, seem way over the top and a huge waste of space, seen similar for some of the more recent special editions but never an early Gaydon Vantage. scratchchin

To me they just look like a matching couple of small camera flight-type cases, especially with the “waffle” foam in the lids. You just cut out the foam lining to match the shape of whatever you’re transporting.

I’ve used them for cameras and other stuff in the past

Ive had 3 Gaydon era Vantages and none of them came with flight cases like those, I think they are just something owner has put together.

The owners handbook is a tight fit in the glovebox.
I dont think it would be possible for that case to go in.

Putting the owners manual in a presentation suitcase, somehow reminds me of an old TV game show.
I cannot remember which one, but similar cases were held open, perhaps to reveal the prize money.

Well you can't beat the service history, it's had an oil change about every 100 yards.

The cases are just an owner's affectation, possibly because cost of said servicing is greater than the value of the car!

I looked at the advertisement, but could not find detailed servicing information, apart from seeing the word Full.
Mileage 43,000, so probably considered average.

Unusual for a main dealer to be selling a Vantage of this age.

Click the 'read more' tab in the description field wink
Last service was Aston Martin Sytner Nottingham 43072 miles on the 9th December 2024

It's a private sale but they appear to have taken 99% of the pictures on the forecourt of Aston Martin Nottingham when they last had it serviced. wink

Like others have said these are simply small flight cases the owner has both for those items.

I certainly didn’t have these as part of the sale of my 2008 V8 Vantage N400 and you’d expect if they were to come with any car it’s be a limited edition. I also agree they would t fit in glovebox.

No the real question is, does it come with the Pen or an umbrella?
