Anyone know this car or dealer? Its near to me so thinking of having a look: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202507174...
I looked at V12 Vantages back in 2012 and never ended up getting one, thinking of getting one now maybe to daily. Anything I need to really look out for? Do they get expensive issues? Can I warranty it at Aston etc and if so how much is the cost?

Dont know the dealer or the car. With such light use at 7k miles I would like to think it shouldn't have any issues. You can warranty it with AM dealers, it will need inspection if not been serviced at the same dealer. The last quote I had earlier this year was £2500 for 12 months warranty inc AM assistance.
I would be interested to see the service history, if its been done yearly or skipped some due to low use.

Its got AM warranty to Jan 26, I've seen last service video from Dec 24, I suspect its just not been driven that much as interior is in really nice condition (unless they've had it redone). I would be interested to see the service history, if its been done yearly or skipped some due to low use.

Good news on the warranty and service. Yes generally very reliable I used my V12VS Roadster regularly for 400 mile round trips to the office or 2000 mile trips on hols etc. Would have no issue using daily if I had to. The coupe is even more practical with large boot space.Are they generally considered reliable?
My car is a 2016 model and the few things Its had done during its lifetime are the rear lights resealed, front light vent kit, the ASM pipes replaced with upgraded aftermarket, and a parking sensor.

With that mileage I would have thought the original is entirely original.
Astons “ generally “ are pretty reliable but they can suffer from niggles.
If you aren’t using the car daily then this becomes even less of an issue.
My V12S had the infamous sticky fuel flap happen a couple of times but once properly fixed never did it again.
It had a issue with the thermostat once and once they under filled it with oil post a service but that’s about it !

If buying a car of that value, it would be prudent to ensure you have a pre-purchase inspection completed by a reputable Aston Martin dealership or independent specialist.
Have the car fully checked out probably costs £500 or near to do, but will give peace of mind and identify any known issues present for the model. It should also include a full report of the vehicle stating what has been checked and any findings.
Any reputable AM seller will allow this as it is fairly common, if they don’t allow its ring alarm bells for me.

Don't know either the car nor the dealer. The dealer does get some very good reviews if they can be believed but the car looks lovely. I would certainly get a pre purchase inspection and the supplying dealer should have no qualms about this if they stand by their car.
Just one question that others more familiar with the V12 VH platform cars may know/advise ... are those wheels standard on a 2018 model? I thought they changed not long after 2010 ish to a more multi spoke light weight wheel.

Looks like a tidy low miles example OP. Other than the obvious, check for paint bubbling, water ingress in the tail light lenses and check that the carbon discs are smooth.
Speaking in general terms they are robust and far cheaper to maintain than an Italian. Last of the line examples such as this benefit from a long lifecycle of development and honing.

There are a lot of very good independent AM specialists that will take good care of this car and will most likely offer a pre purchase inspection. AM Performance in Macclesfield is closest for the OP.

The lightweights were never part of the std spec in the UK on a V12 Vantage S...
Mine was specced and bought at the factory in the final year of production and the cost then for lightweights wheels was £2995 for them in silver or £3745 for them in satin black.
The original V12V wheels were free / std in silver or £1995 in graphite or £2245 in diamond turned faces with gloss black insides.

Hard to believe that thread is almost ten years old Adam. Lots of old PH posters who haven’t been seen back here for some time, and of course your gentle introduction to your special car too…still can’t believe AML wanted £1995 to reinstate the CF bonnet louvres which were standard on the original six speed cars!
