Anyone know if Alcantara was an option for a 2010 Vantage on the instrument cover and dashboard like in this picture or is this aftermarket? I've checked online and also have the book but no sign of it as an option. It's on a car I'm hoping to buy which I've looked at and it looks OEM.

Thanks.

Anything was always possible on an Aston via Q.

2010 is an early car however and I dont recally Alcantara being one of the std offerings that early on, as it was with the later cars, but via Q anything was possible.

Best try get the AM spec sheet for your car - that's the only way to know for certain.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, was wondering if it was Q but didn't think that existed in 2010? Gut tells me this is not OEM. Looks good though, nice job it seems.

a lot of those car suffer from leather pulling out so some people opted to get them redone with Alcantara, some aftermarket company offered a exchange option like vcollection in the US. As previously mentioned, not an OEM installed.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say I think that dash was probably originally completely trimmed in what looks like White Truffle, but a previous owner has had the easier bits done in the dark Alcantara in an attempt to reduce reflections in the windscreen ("veiling glare" in the industry).

But I will concede that those three parts can be prone to leather separation - I had to have one of the "hockey sticks" on my V8V re-glued by Works

Sounds about right. When I viewed it I was thinking 'glad this whole dash isn't this light' (it's Moon Shadow apparently).

Sorry, my memory failed. I meant Cream Truffle. Moon Shadow looks a little darker in this chart. Colour photography on the internet can be misleading, though, so I could be wrong.
