Ian Callum's design company (manufacturer of the updated Vanquish 1, Ian designed the original), have now created a shooting brake version. The design reminds us of the Bertone Jet 2, which a number of years ago was a one-off AML customer commission.
A prototype has not been built, but if an order is received, they are ready to proceed.

I like the last one - presumably the front is a Vanquish 2. ...
The Bertone Jet 2 was based on DB9 / Rapide.
It has a Rapide (second version) front.
The internet does show a 4 door Bertone Jet 2+2, which I had forgotten about.
I think Jet 2 was built first, then later for the 2013 One Hundred Year anniversary celebration, the Jet 2+2 was built.
There was talk about building 10 of them, but it seems the Bertone company faced trouble, so only 1 was ever completed.

It did seem to be a widespread trend during the 1970s, that many cars had fairly rectangular design features, as can be seen with the Reliant.
The most beautiful cars though, have curves.
Most of the Jet 2 panels are curved.
I think Swiss Toni used to provide lengthy explanations about this subject.
