Help tracking down my dads old car
Discussion
The chassis number is LML/50/204.
This information is in the AMOC Register of Cars. The entry is in brackets which means, if I remember correctly, that it is either scrapped or the car is 'known to the club' ie the owner isn't a member.
The registration doesn't appear on the DVLA website which means it could be scrapped, it could be SORN or it could have a new number. I'll keep digging.

Currently taxed and registered in the UK as 175UXM. Google the chassis number and you will find a lot more information on the owner and its whereabouts.

Wow great picture. So happy to see it is still in regular use. He sold it before I was born but always talked about it fondly.Whilst my father didn t race, he used to hang around with a few motorsport folk of that era including Richard Atwood and John Rhodes.
Googling the chassis number is indeed interesting. I don’t realise it was a lightweight special and has quite a race history!

The VMF 65 grille colour is interesting. A homage, I wonder?Whilst my father didn t race, he used to hang around with a few motorsport folk of that era including Richard Atwood and John Rhodes.

Fascinating topic. Coincidentally, I just found out today that my grandad, that I have never met as he died before I was born, had a Cisitalia 202 when he was young. What a car to have now!
Hope you can at least see your dad's car in real life one day!
I had to google that. What a beautiful car.Hope you can at least see your dad's car in real life one day!
