CCCharger exhaust valve remote for V8V - free to a good home
Discussion
I've just has a 3-way wired exhaust valve override switch fitted to my V8V, so the CCCharger kit I had been using is now surplus to requirements and needs a new home.
The kit was originally given to me by another PH'er (whose name I forget - sorry) several years ago in a thread just like this one.
It is complete with instructions and two of the early fobs with the blue LED. The kit is a very early one, but it has been back to Clive at CCChargers who configured it so that it works correctly on a V8 Vantage - it was originally intended for different models, as the instructions indicate.
Fitting it really is child's play: identify the relay and fuse for the exhaust valves in the boot fuse box; remove them both; fit the modified CCCharger relay where the old one was; plug the two fly leads into where the two fuse blades were (need to get them the right way round); tuck the fly leads and in-line components neatly out of the way and close the fuse box lid. Done
The kit is offered completely free to the first person who responds in this thread saying they'd like it. It's offered with no guarantees or warranty - I'm just trying to pass the favour along.
Once the new owner claims it we can work out the details of me getting it to you. I hope this post doesn't upset the mods because I'm not really selling anything - just doing another member a favour.

I think I need to restrict this to members from the UK - I just read a poster in my local Post Office that said I apparently need to complete a customs declaration and get a QR code to scan, even to send a gift abroad.

And like yourself, I forgot who I gave it to. Originally, Clive (CCChargers) was offering the kits for which all costs were donated by him to charity. He subsequently installed it for me and others at the Burghley House Aston gathering back in July 2016. Once I had sold the SP10, I had no further use for it, I offered it out to the first person (yourself) that PM'd me. I'm glad to see it's still in use and ready for the next owner to enjoy.Octavarium said:
