My car is 9 years old now and was contemplating if it was worth renewing the tracker subscription, given the low chance of theft based on my usage.

If I don't renew, do I need to get the tracker disabled and is this something I would need to pay a main dealer to do?

Also are there any other side effects such as battery drain?

Yes get it removed if you do not want it. When the tracker battery fails it will drain your car battery and Astons don't like flat batteries.

Remember to let your insurance company know if you’re no longer using a tracker in the car, especially if having it operational was a condition of your insurance cover.

My insurers sent me a small tracker device as a condition of their policy. They're happy and I don't have to worry about subscriptions.
