Discussion
Greetings
I know there has been many postings of TPMS solutions but has anyone had any joy in obtaining genuine HUF original equipment (OE) TPMS sensors.
I am changing the tyres on my V12 Vantage (not sure on what make yet) so beforehand and as the original TPMS sensors are some 9 years old I thought that it would also be best to change them at the same time.
I will not mention company names but last week I ordered 4 genuine HUF TPMS sensors, they arrived the next day and they were genuine but the manufacturing date was June 2017 only 3 months newer than the ones I am trying to replace so they went back.
Spoke with a highly recommended supplier of many things automotive so again ordered some HUF RDE 048V21 OE TPMS sensors they again arrived the next day but included a leaflet stating that the maximum vehicle speed is 130MPH, still in discussion with this supplier but at the moment they will probably get returned.
So has anyone (someone must have) purchased OE TPMS sensors if so what type and where from.
Kind Regards

I have installed the delete kit and every month I manually check the pressure.

I apologize if it's off topic but the tpms are really sensitive to the point I started hating the car.

I have put a great deal of time & effort in resolving TPMS on my previous Vantage and became quite an expert on the matter together with vernierMike. Sadly, I cannot comment on OE sensors, as I think the only way to get them is through the dealer and their nonsensical price for them.
I can suggest these threads where Mike and I explain our findings. My advice is to not go back to OE ones (both old and new systems used on the Vantage are programmable with a bit of effort), but of course I might be not fully aware of your particular situation.

Shifty, I’m assuming your sensors are the later version, the sort that configure themselves once installed and the wheels are turning. Not the old SmarTire ones with the coloured rings which need to be programmed to the control box. It may be worth getting in touch with Aston Installations for some advice. They fitted and programmed Autel sensors to my car which has the older system, but I think they have experience of the later versions too. If my memory serves me well I think Nick/nickv12 may had some fitted by them recently to his Cosmopolitan Yellow V12VS. HTH a bit and fingers crossed. BRM.
