2010 Vantage Roadster SS
Hello
I was wondering if anyone could help, by steering me in the right direction.

My Vantage has been in Dry storage for a few months on a CTek trickle charger.

When I went to fire it up, I put the key in the slot, the car initially lit up ( dash & instrument lights ) but the key shot out as my finger slipped off.
When putting the key back in to start, the instrument lights came up with all the error lights, and no back lighting.and outside and inside temperature symbols are blank.
But engine starts okay, every time.
If I leave ignition on, after about ten minutes, it all comes to life, then a few minutes later, the faults return.
Following advice, I replaced the CRM roof controller as they have a reputation for causing the above issues.

However, It dod not cure the issues
I then removed the roof controller, and turned the car on again, no change.
I’ve checked all cabin and boot fuses, they seemed fine, reseated plugs going into the CEM, with no change.
My Foxwell says LOW SPEED CAN transmit/receive error, it also mentions open load or short circuit to ground on rear wiper relay
I’m at a total loss where to go next.

Thanks in advance

You may have done it already but if you haven't, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect.

My car certainly acts up when leaving stored for a long time mirrors keep moving windows dropping etc etc once driven for a few days they sort themselves out

Thanks for your reply, yes I disconnected battery overnight, also touched positive and negative to each other to remove potential.
All to no avail.

But I’m still stumped

I also had problems with battery disconnect switch not working and both 12v accessory sockets not powering up. I replaced all fuses which in my LHD 4.3 is under the carpet in front of the passenger seat behind a metal panel. I sprayed with contact cleaner and replaced all fuses with new ones. Now all is well and everything is working

That’s good to know, especially as you fixed it at minimal cost.
I’ve removed and sprayed all fuses in my CEM, but the car does seem to sort itself out with engine running, heater and the key DOCK warms up, seems the key slides in and out smoother.

But I’ve replaced the roof module, which seemed to sort the faults out but different but similar electrical issues, so the roof module supplier has sent another out as there’s a chance the first roof module was faulty.

I changed the battery disconnect switch a couple of years ago due to starting issues so I suspect it’s not that either.

Thanks for all your advice so far.

Keep all the tips coming please.
