Help please!!! The rear lights(red) are constantly on even if the car is parked up. So 3 lights on including light on rim of the boot. I have it on trickle charge in garage and battery is fully charged. Front lights are off. I’ve used the brake pedal constantly but the lights are still on. If the trickle charger isn’t connected then the battery goes flat as the rear lights being on slowly drain the battery. Ideas please.

Brake lights only? Never heard of this issue but could well be the brake switch. May be worth a fiddle with the plunger or remove and see what happens?

As above, I strongly suspect it’s the brake pedal switch. If so, I’m sure it’s only a £15 part and a quick fix. No reason you shouldn’t be able to fix it yourself, or get brake down recovery provider (assuming you have one) to take you to a local garage.

As mentioned above, try to disconnect the switch and see if your brake lights go off.

I hope it is that simple.
