Bit of a story,
Went to work on Tuesday morning in my 2005 DB9. Started no issues at all and no problems.
Came to start it at work 6 hours later and I had,
Key error
Emmision service required
Gearbox fault
Tcm fault
Check battery off switch
Dsc service required
Traction temp off
Some other key read issue as well
Engine temp to the top
Immobilizer light flashing
It basically wouldn't turn over as the start button wasn't illuminated
I checked everything, fuses, voltage, resets, battery resets, battery disconnected and even a new battery all to no avail.
Popped the OBD2 reader on and error codes galore.
I rang the AA today to see if they could sort it and after an hour of testing they said they would have to get the yellow taxi for it.
Had a boost pack and nothing.
As we had jumpers on the positive stud under the bonnet and on the alternator for the ground (which didn't work) he said put of curiosity he would put the negative direct onto a bolt on the front wing and it started first push of the button.
From it we came to the conclusion it must be a ground strap somewhere off the engine that has corroded and is causing the issue.
It's now in the garage for testing.
Just incase anyone is having the fun and games I've had. Maybe worth a check of the ground points.
Cheers.
