Gen 2 Vanquish S Sat nav update....again!

I know my car has Android auto ( 2017MY) so I can get access to Google maps but I really would like to have the inbuilt sat nav arrangements maps updated, if at all possible.

My MD has previously suggested its a 'Difficult' process and not worth the bother but on pressing i don't think he really knew how to do it.

Most Internet answers keep referring to the panel hidden within the boot but I cannot see any nav module or similar in there.



So my question is, has anyone done it or even had ut done by someone else and can explain the 'how to' bit.
I've looked for an SD card slot but failed to find it and i cant even find the nav unit??

No real use looking for an SD slot on what is probably an AMi III car, is there?

If AMi III, then it´s the Infotainment Control Module you would be looking for (probably behind the centre stack console; not sure). But what´s the point? You can´t update it by yourself anyway. Tell your main dealer you want an AMi III update. There is no other way than using AMDS.

Check what you have got in your setting menu. This is the update I received back in 2024:

My Vanquish is 2014 and the satnav module is under the carpeted recess in the left hand side of the boot floor. Is yours the same?

AMiii can only be upgraded using AMDS by AM or an independent with AMDS.

Thanks gents. The car going into MD tomorrow fir other work so I will raise it with them and tell them i want it done.....unless they say its going to be £500
