Hello. How are you today.

I'm looking for a weekend car and my two options are:

Option number 1
2014 DB9
odo is 41,000 km
The car in brown with tan interior
Has a regular service in the dealership.
Price is $72k

Option number 2
2012 Virage
odo is 38,000 km
The car is in silver with red calipers and tan interior.
Price is $70k

I need your help to make me decide which car I should buy

Virage. Cooler, rarer, more powerful.

Parts shouldn't be a problem since they are basically modified db9s

There's one for sale for the equivalent of 25 uk pounds very tempting

DB9 is more powerful with 20 bhp
The DB9.2 engine is tuned up to 510 bhp
The virage is only 490 bhp

I agree its cooler rarer

The DB9.2 can have a software upgrade which increases bhp to 565.

The DB9.2 and second gen Vanquish have the same engine.

IMO even though Virage is rarer get the DB9.2

Could you put pictures of, or links to the cars you're looking at?

Future values, maybe the rarity of the Virage (1000 of them?) might make them interesting. Not going to matter though for a generation!

The 2014 DB9 is a more modern car, new engine, better adaptive damping.

DB9.1 < Virage < DB9.2

Virage cooler and rarer ( not sure that with circa 1,000 made its necessarily an investment though ) but for me the fact its not brown would give it the edge if those are the only 2 in contention.

20bhp here or there is irrelevant IMHO. You haven't posted links so we have very little information on which to make a useful comment. Specification and history would be my main interest, and the 'cool rare' Virage doesn't seem to have any.

I made a full post with pictures, but didn't go through.
I don't know why.

I tried to post, but it won't let me.

NEW UPDATE:

The DB9 has a big crack (brake) in the front glass; the dealership priced the replacement cost at $9000.

That could be a deal breaker.
I'm looking for other specialists for a more reasonable cost replacement.

Fair enough, I think you need to have been a PH member for a certain time before it lets you do it.

I'm also wondering why the Virage is 'cool' at least more so than a DB9.2.

“Cooler “ possibly because despite being slightly pointless in the model range , the model badge and the limited numbers.
It’s also probably usually forgotten about today.
