DB9 CD player seems jammed.

As per the title, I have just done a 1600 mile round trip where the player worked fine, left the car for a couple of weeks on trickle now the cd player is just saying loading disc 3.
Is it expensive failure or is there a simple fix.
The radio is working .

My CD player in my car jammed years ago, seems when it gets jammed up it won't reset itself.

I removed it from the dash, quite an easy job then sent it to these people who repaired it, all good

Well phoned local independent who said sounds like it's gone and would need a replacement.

So to cheer up went to buy crap in the Lidl middle isle. The speed bumps on Nantwich road Crewe, only two of those little treasures at 20mph ,were enough to bring the delights of Passenger back to life.

Sometimes you win, the dog got a new toy, I got a working cd and the bride got a couple of scented candles.

I think the disc player is Volvo by the way
