Aston Martin Video
Discussion
I found this video.
An excellent description of the Company's history and includes a few wonderful historic photos, which I have never seen before.
I only spotted one factual gaff, you will notice it, but I thought one can be forgiven.

This is an AI video that's been put together from lots of movie clips. That's why it includes images of things and people you haven't seen before!
Thank you Martin.
Before seeing your post, I was about to screenshot a photo of Henniker Mews. I noticed the Aston Martin signage (was Bamford Martin then) and men working on cars that had not yet been built. So then realised Al.
I suppose it adds to the story, but they have mixed AI with genuine period photos, that we have been familiar with.
The factual error I mentioned was them stating DBX 707 has been the best ever selling model. That accolade went to the 2005 onwards model, V8 Vantage.

Everything made by AI should be clearly marked as such, so people know that it might not be true.
By not knowing John, I suppose it might help to keep my brain active.
Wrong title on sign above the door.
Men some how attempting to mend cars, before they had even been built.
Here is the actual property.

The sooner everyone realises that "AI" is worse than useless, and often positively dangerous, the better. The longer it takes, the more painful it will be when the bubble bursts.
Ha! That day is a long way off, it it ever comes. People and huge sums of money are still piling on the bandwagon. It's tulip mania all over again, except this time it's not harmless flower bulbs, it's tech at the existential threat level.
I still haven't managed to wrap my head around how people think AI is more than the sum of its parts, sentient, intelligent etc. It was made by people and as such amplifies all their flaws as well as their strengths. It's humanity distilled and hyperconcentrated. What a terrifying concept...

Plan:It's tulip mania all over again, except this time it's not harmless flower bulbs, it's tech at the existential threat level.
1) Make a few million by investing in AI.
2) Buy a really nice survival bunker for the apocalypse (or is it armageddon? I'm not sure which is worse).
You get a lot of cans of soup for £1M.

It is said that it takes a generation for people to forget the lessons of the past.
1998 and 1999 - Share investors became very excited by the new world of computers and telephone communication.
Tiny loss making technology firms were becoming listed companies. The IPOs were considerably oversubscribed.
I was left behind by all this. I preferred to part own businesses that were already making money. I was told, "You are missing out on huge future profits. It really is different this time".
The dot com crash lasted 3 years. Many of those hotshot companies went bust.
Surely that could not repeat itself, because it really will be different this time. AI will save the world, Tesla will sell human robot man servants to every person in the world. SpaceX will sell tickets for journeys to Mars (most tickets will be discounted one way trips).
And once again, I have not followed the so called 'smart' money.
