Hi all,

I’m looking to add Apple CarPlay to my 2017 DB11 V12 and have narrowed it down to Aston Installations and TTW Installations.

Has anyone here had either of their current systems fitted to a DB11, and if so, how have you found it long-term?

I’m particularly interested in:

  • Reliability – any freezing, crashes or connection issues?
  • Wireless CarPlay performance
  • Audio quality, particularly with the B&O system
  • Integration with the original Aston controls
  • How quickly/easily you can switch between CarPlay and the original infotainment
  • Quality of the installation and any rattles/trim issues afterwards
I’ve deliberately ruled out IDCore following advice from an Aston Martin technician, who recommended going to a good third-party installer instead.

I’m also curious whether Aston Installations and TTW are actually using different hardware, or variations of the same underlying CarPlay interface.

I’m not particularly concerned about finding the cheapest option — I’d rather have the most reliable and best-integrated system fitted properly.

Any first-hand DB11 experience with either would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi tried contact Aston Installations twice via email and no response, also telephone them and asked about being a Guinea pig on their new touchscreen version (19/8/2026)and haven’t heard back.

In the end paid £1250 for Aston Martin Bristol to install last week and have no regrets.

I have a 2018 4.0 Vantage and the integration is great (though don’t have B&O) and works with all features
