....oh, and I can't read about eARC without wondering if my TV is connecting to the soundbar!

I think it looks rather sublime but it potentially opens up a question of whether there is enough demand/market interest for three different versions of DBX. Imho recent sales figures would suggest probably not, and I wouldn’t be surprised if DBX707 is quietly discontinued in a similar way to the first 550 version, leaving just the choice of “S” or “GT”. We shall see. BRM.

Take it to your Aston dealer and see if they will match it.
Ignore the front grille and unfortunately the serious side of what is going on, is the temptation created by low prices, which will presumably decimate the Western car industry.
I am convinced that all those western car companies, who set up joint venture manufacturing plants in China, ended up in a trap. They enjoyed huge sales success for their western models in China for many years (although I understand profits were shared 50:50), but when over capacity eventually occurred, the Western firms very reluctantly agreed to their cars being exported to the West. Therefore that then meant a reduced 50% profit on (say) a German car built in China, sold in Germany.
The Chinese joint venture partners ( who had learnt much ), did not then like the 50% aspect, so they then built their own cars for export to the West and took 100% profits.
Chinese car manufacturers have made such rapid market share increases in the UK, it reveals the power of low prices. With the highest energy costs in the world ( part due to extra import costs and also raised by financial incentives claw-backs ) the UK is unable to compete.
So sad to see this going on. Those high input costs send industries and jobs overseas, then the madness really begins, because we then transport back all the goods that we still need. Refined diesel fuel is the current example. Only four UK refineries left and one of them (Fawley) is going to close for months, while routine maintenance is undertaken. Hopefully it can continue to be brought all the way from USA.

When Trump applies tariffs everyone says Boo Nasty!
But a 100% tariff on Chinese cars might have protected the Western car industry. Every week another Chinese car brand you've never heard of pops up, people buy it and more Western money ends up in China to help them carry on taking over the world.
China is running rings around the rest of the world. One reason might be because it's not a democracy and you don't have idiots voting in new leaders every six months who then have to do popular things to get voted in again...

And now, back to Aston Martin DBX GT...

Being one who has always been patriotic, buying a Chinese car would be a step too far.
Imagine it being on my driveway.
A sign would not be needed, but the cars presence would say;
I AM HELPING TO END THE BRITISH CAR MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY AND PUT THOUSANDS OF EMPLOYEES OUT OF WORK.
The problem is, old chap, that we're being out-competed. And can do nothing about it. We de-industrialised, preferring to import, and finished ourselves off with one of the highest energy prices in the world.Imagine it being on my driveway.

But all is not lost. Step outside, admire your wheelie-bins and inhale the sweet wonder of 'net zero'.
