Anyone actually ordered one?

I was having a look at my local dealer who had 4 or 5 unsold.

I was quite surprised how much I liked the car. It looked a lot better in the flesh than in the press releases.

This is odd, i am pretty sure that Aston only built cars to order. I am not saying that you are wrong but it appears that maybe people have been cancelling their orders. From my experience (i have been in touch with an Aston dealer recently) they are really pushing the new DBS and i have heard very little about the N400.

I have to admit that i saw one in the flesh and it looked brilliant.

The cars were definitely not sold (I know because I was looking for a silver N400 Roadster). They had at least 2 x coupes available and 2, possibly 3 Roadsters.

Other dealers I've called all had available cars too.

I saw an orange one sitting in the park lane dealer a few weeks ago. I do not think it has sold yet.

All of the dealers I've spoken to have a selection of cars available; but no orange.

Silver or black, manual or sportshift, coupe or roadster. And with a discount.

Hi there,
Shouldn't both bonnet meshes be silver? The one on the left is black like on the standard car.
I think it's a shame that not more people are brave enough to drive a orange Aston. It looks lovely!!!!! Always reminds me of the Bahama Yellows DBS (I thinks three of them where built).
I wonder how many orange N400 exist...

I reckon the vast majority of people will take the opposite viewwink

Think it looks even worse with the silver centre bar on the rear light cluster.

Agreed. Also, I prefer the standard 19" wheels. Bright orange on an Aston just sort of defies the point doesn't it?

Hi there,

Here are a few more pics of the Orange N400 that was at Silverstone: -

Agree about the silver bar in between the rear lights, does look kinda strange.

mmm...its OK...Im afraid im one of those people who bought the Vantage because its understated so it wouldnt suit me...I would wait until the 4.7L 09 model if I was really that bothered about more power etc..

I agree with the rear lights, the silver bonnet intakes and the wheels. I'm also not too keen about the new side sills. All those things I prefer from the standard car.
And should I order a new one (wich won't happen, 'cause the day I might afford one, they won't build it anymore) I would end up with a Mercury Silver one.
But somehow I really, really like that colour. It doesn't show on the pics (sorry Tim) but in the flesh it's gorgeous!!

These can easily be changed.

Not one of the visual tweaks is an improvement IMO.

Far cry on what Ferrari achieve with their specials (which admittedly have looked relatively poor in std form of late).

It's an Aston. Therefore it should look tasteful - this doesn't, especially in 'cure rust' red. I can't think of one bit that is an improvement over the standard car frankly.

I have to say I really like these photos and the silver rear light strips (I always thought the Vantage's rear lights were not quite as well done as the DB9).

The colour looks quite like Porsche's Zanzibar red which is a bit of a marmite colour on the MK1 GT3 i.e. you either love it or you hate it...
