V8 Vantage Sat Nav

I understand that the V8 Vantage Sat Nav has its origins at Volvo, does anyone know what the Volvo disc number or systems number would be as at £250+ for a new AM disc I think I'll go Volvo!

Where is the DVD player actually located?

I've asked Aston Works for updates and been told there are none. My car is an 06 plate. Hmmmmmm.

The Sat Nav DVD is located in the boot on the left hand side just above the fuel tank hump.

Do you have the url for the P2P site and is it really that simple?

I was actually referring to the legality of doing such a thing. Other than that, there have been plenty of incidents, albeit non that I can remember from Aston owners, where copied road maps have actually locked up and jammed in the DVD unit.

Do whichever you like but you still have a system that is bettered by anything for £75 from Halfords

Not as I understand it.

I'm not even sure anyone's had a Volvo disc work in it yet.

I was taking the mick

...technically under the licence agreement on the orginal software, for which you own, the unit, the car, and the software copy, you are allowed to make a single backup for your own use

...read into that what you will ...but personally i wouldnt be buying a new copy *if* I could use my own backup copy of this years CD
