Stratsone Cardiff are doing a V8 kit called One-17. What is interesting are the black power coated standard 7 spoke wheels. Also they do black wing mirror housings (like) and a black grill (OK) + you can have the revised N400 sills (don't like). You can have any bit separately having already had a chat with them. Question is what do people think to the black wheels? The alternative is to do a gloss smoked finish like the new Nissan GTR wheels? My car is in Tungsten as per the car in the pics below.

Thoughts welcome.

MADT350 obviously you know where I'm going with this.

Yuck indeed. If Astons looked good in Lime Green, Yellow etc like Lambos then I think it would look better. But they don't!

That's interesting - as I actually like the N400 sills - might have to give them a call and see how much..........

Any Aston dealer should be able to supply. I now HWM can.

I think they are:
Deep Sills £271.65 each
Paint and fitting £210 pair
Prices quoted by Cardiff outfit.

All very 'Halfords', just my humble opinion though...

I've seen quite a few with black wheels, and although manufacturers have caught on to it now, I think it will date quickly.

Not keen on black, but I quite like the anthracite 7 spoke lightweight wheels for the V8. There's a pic of them on Rick's DMS website.

i have just bought some original anthracite 7 spoke versions (my car is Tungsten silver also) and getting them fitted on my car tomorrow, i just fancied a change as every vantage has silver alloys, i do like to be a little different smile. it does make the vantage look more aggressive which i quite like....if black is not a option then a anthracite could be?

i have a black car, and with black wheels its just too black wink

When I was buying it from the dealer I had them finish the wheels in matt anthracite for me - the brake dust sticks less, much easier to clean and always look clean - perfect for the lazy car cleanersmile

Needs a bit more carbon to finish the look. Personally the wheels are a touch too dark for me - I love the COR wheels we had on our car (I say had - they're on their way to a PHer in Singapore).
