Hi

I've just come to fire up the Aston after not running it for a few weeks at the battery is completely dead. I've can't even open the glove compartment to get the service manual out.

Does anybody know how one would go about recharging the battery. I don't event know where it is confused.

Help appreciated.

Its behind the drivers seat, under the shelf - which has a little tab to pull it up with. Glovebox lock is powered so it locks wthout power!

Once you've got charge in the battery you will need to reset a few things - go to Ricks Derby Motor service site for his knowledge base on the detail

Good luck!

If you're buying one you could get one with an accessory plug on it, then just plug it in to the 12V socket.

If you're using clips, I wouldn't be inclined to do it direct at the battery with it in situ. I think there are charging points in the engine bay (not 100% sure though).

there is a jump point under the bonnet connect the red crocodile clip to the positive + point, it,s black and rectangular has a hinged lid with a red cross on it, as you look at the engine bay stood at the front it is in the front left hand corner, connect the negative connection to any suitable point on the engine which is metal, Turn on the charger,
