RICK DMS, COULD YOU READ THIS? NGK SPARK PLUG MODEL FOR DB9

I have a 2006 db9, I currently have everything apart and the spark plug is:

NGK-PTR6E-13

I cannot find this plug anywhere here in the US, all I find is information for a 2005 DB9 which lists this plug:


NGK BKR6EIX-11

Is this BKR6EIX-11 acceptable for my 2006 model. I see this plug is used all over in the Vanquish DB7 etc.

Also a seperate issue, I notice alot of oil contamination in the air intake. The pcv's look faulty and are stuck open so they are being replaced (funny how it is a Motorcraft with the part number right on it!). The mass air flows were full of oil, after cleaning the car idles perfect now. If you remember a few wks back I was complaining that the car was missing: I think it was these dirty air flow sensors at the cause.

Hi the vanquish and db9 use the same plug, personally i have not come across the other part number here in the uk,

you may be able to find an equivalent what the numbers mean PT(platinum tip) R(resistor) 6(heat range) E(v grooved 1.5mm insulator)-13(the plug gap) the closest match to this would be PTR6D-13

The PTR6E-13 plug is a tapered seat plug and the other plug, the IFR6E11 is a round gasketed plug compression seating. Different style altogether
