Powerfold mirror problem
Discussion
I've got a similar problem with my Left hand side mirror. I took to the dealer and they just said it needed oiling. It now folds in and out pretty well. BUT the actual mirror position doesnt seem to quite return to the same point every time. A bit annoying. Anyone else had this problem?

Yep...happens to me from time to time! I explained the problem at my last service, and they suggested... drumroll ... replace both mirrors at a cost of £510 each

Do you mean the entire unit does not return to the same point every time ? Or is it just the glass ? what I mean is, if the glass were a bit lose, but the mirror unit went to the same place each time, then when sitting in the driver's seat it might look like the whole unit was not in the same place as you'd adjusted it to ?No I come to think about it, I think mine did something similar a few weeks ago. The passenger one did not fully pop out (whatever the word is). I moved them in and out a few times with the buttons on the door and then locked the car, re-inserted the key and they moved to the correct position and it's been fine since. Maybe you need to "exercise" them a few times ?
