My insurance only increased by £30 a year if I didn't have a Tracker, so given the massive number of false alarms (in truth due almost entirely to the poor radio/phone coverage where I live)I let the subscription lapse.
Heaven - no more texts or phone calls everytime I got to the nearest high ground !

im not a tracker fan either - I dont want it back if its nicked - give me a new car LOL
...its a system designed mostly to protect insurers from big losses ...that we pay for out of our pockets ..and the tracker companies themselves are usually owned by the same group as the insurers ....mmmmmm
but on this occasion the policy I wanted (that included free track cover and other stuff) I had to have a tracker as the car was worth over £50K
paying a one off fee for life was cheaper than yearly....now the car is below £50K I wouldnt need it ....
