Hi Guys

Last night I picked my mate up to go for a drive and meal and when we got to the underground car park there was a horrendous scraping noise coming from my front left wheel. Sounded like the tin backing plate was touching the disc. Anyway parked the car up and went for our meal and then when we came back and I was all thoughts of where am I going to get this fixed (no dealer in Bern) it had stopped, enter paranoid mode begin.

sounds like a stone caught between the brake caliper and disc....normally you unlodge a stone or other object by reversing

That sounds very like something that happened to me once where I had picked up a piece of gravel in the front brake assembly. If I recall correctly I was advised to reverse with some urgency and that popped it out. It's a while ago so no idea of which car was affected.

Standard procedure. Reverse, hit the brakes and the stone should pop out. Just don't do it on the motorway.

If it is on full lock , it could be your under tray loose (bolts) the tray pings , if not tight when turning on full lock.
