Would it be wise to run a DB7 Vantage as a daily drive (2nd car), about 6000-7000 miles per year? Or is it too unreliable for that? Would it be expensive to run?
Can it "live" outside?

Also, I've heard tall drivers won't fit in it (I'm 6 ft 10)?

thanx!

1. Could do - I did for a few years;
2. No, they're fine, no more unreliable than many others;
3. It's an Aston Martin, so assume yes and add a bit;
4. Mine did at one stage - caused the radiator to need replacement;
5. 6'10" is a foot taller than me and my head brushed against the roof, but try it and see.

I can confirm all the above. I run a 2000V 7 Vantage, it lives outside and I'm doing 6000 to 7000 miles a year. Aggresive attention to minor faults and regular fettling seem to keep it running just fine.

6'10" though? mmm, not so sure. Drivers seat has no rise and fall due to positioning of computer equipment under that seat, just movement front to back and lumber support. Not hopeful for you, but try it.

owned two db7s used both as daily drive, the volante had more head room in, may be worth a try? also the later model db7s have more head and leg room. but 6ft 10, it might be a squeeze. try a few out, i think for the money they are the best car you could buy!

I'm 185 cm so that's about 6 ft 10, isn't it?
I fit well in the TVR Tuscan but I hear the DB7's are quite cramped.
So the Volante has more head room?

thanx guys

Sorry to correct you, but 185cm is just under 73" which makes you just under 6'2" tall! wink

OK so it's 6 ft 2, I could never work out your system of measurement.
I would love a DB9, it's my favorite Aston, but a nice one is min. 50-60k, whereas a DB7 Vantage is half of that.
