Hi can anyone help, we're driving down to the south of France and just noticed that there is what looks like water dripping from underneath the car. It's dripping from the middle about 1m back from the front. Dripping stopped when we parked the car, it was left for an hour, but started up again a couple of mins after we started the engine. Currently tempreture guage is normal (at 9 o'clock). Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks

Air-con? Condensation forms and then drips out under the car. Probably not noticed it before because you've not used the air-con in GB!

Where in the S of France, as a matter on interest?

Thanks an awful lot for the speedy replies! We're massivly relieved having just spent the last 20mins without aircon to see if that was the issue! We posted from grenoble, just getting on to n85 on our way to frejus smile

Definately from the ac system. From where you describe the water coming from is exactly the same as where the v8v expells moisture from the ac system

If you go any further east, give us a shout - we're 250k away, near Alés. A glass of the local produce, perhaps?! beer (there isn't a wine icon!)

If it's only water then I can't think it would be anything else (apart from screenwash which is hardly crucial). The ones to watch for, as with any car, are coolant (greenish with soapy feel) and oil.
