How to handle the Yoof of today

I wont call them chav's as there was no evidence of that, but on the Gaydon drive out yesterday there was a group of seven or eight lads hanging around at the point where we swapped cars. There was a bit of bravado but no problem.
My instructor could have taken the high road and told them to stay away from the cars etc, but no. He interacted with them, plenty of banter, offering them rides etc, and they responded very positively.
It really came across that they were there as they knew it was where the cars parked up and were genuinely in awe of them.
It was good to see a representative from Aston going along with them and hopefully they will respond with the same respect when they see our cars out and about in future.

Its easy to stereotype isn't it? I had the car parked yesterday in a car park and when I returned to it there was a group of lads around it. Usual tracksuits, chav hairstyles etc. Ok, I assumed the worse but as i approached they engaged me in chat about the car and how "awesome" it was, and one stated they were his favourite cars.
Then they said bye and waved me off. These cars can get your heart going in more ways than one can't they!

I've tended to find the Yoof love seeing an Aston and the usual comments are along the lines of
"Can I have your car?"
"Can we swop cars?"
"How much did it cost?"
A little bit of light hearted banter engages them and they love the fact that you've had a chat with them.
Interestingly this was not the case when I had my 911.

They have been running the same thing everyday since March now, I imagine it has become common knowledge to the locals as to where the car swaps happen, and they no doubt went out of their way to see the cars.
I know or have met most of the instructors for Aston, and I wouldn't expect anything less from any of them
