I have got a V8V and noticed that the rear indicator bulb has blown, i managed to get the light out by opening 3 bolts however how do you actually get to the bulbs to change them?

The lamp does not have any bulbs to replace, it is an led unit and comes as a complete unit, unfortunately the lamp will have to be replaced,

Just wait 'till a headlamp fails on an out of warranty 'all LED' Audi. There'll be some real screamers on here then.

No doubt Rick will be along to correct me, but I always thought the point of LED cluster lights was you could have an individual LED fail and the unit / light still works. Pretty rubbish if a failure is significantly more costly than just replacing a bulb.

How old's the car? If still under warranty, it should be replaced FOC. If close to warranty, and you have a good relationship with your dealer, it may still be.

Otherwise, look on eBay. Plenty of people have moved from normal to clear lights. You may get one less than 500 quid (could have sworn pairs were going for not much more).

Noticed one of the daytime running light LED's at the front of my Vantage isn't working. It's not noticeable unless you look very closely from just a few feet away, but now that I've noticed it, it'll keep bugging me!

Anyone know if this is a simple fix? The OP having to replace the entire back unit has got me a little concerned, although this is just one LED and the rest of the unit is working fine??

(The car is under warranty).

I was just thinking to myself how long it would take someone enterprising chap/chapess with a soldering iron to set up a service repairing them. LED bulbs etc are cheap, though I'd bet most failures aren't actually LEDs failing but the electrical connection somewhere.

Quick search on Google, and one of the first links was clusterrepairsuk.co.uk.

Might be worth a call to them? Don't know them from Adam, but if/when one of mine goes I'll be looking into it a bit more before spunking money on complete units...

I have one in bits and it is the electronic control unit, the leds are all ok as swapped a good control unit to the faulty lamp and it works fine, I can't find any dry joints so now component testing to see if they can be repaired, unfortunately I can't find the brand of the control unit to see if I can source the unit separately

let us have some pics and details of the control unit and I'm sure somebody on this forum will find it
